Leaders: Bob Toleno and Juli Chamberlin

Bob Toleno and Juli Chamberlin will lead a pop-up field trip on Saturday, November 2nd to try to find Lapland Longspurs (or other longspur species) on Mount Trashmore at Hayward Regional Shoreline.  In addition, the wastewater treatment ponds will be full of ducks, wintering sparrows will be in the scrub and grasses, and there should be plenty of shorebirds at Frank's Dump or on the bay nearby.  Bring your scope if you have one, and wear comfortable shoes for a fairly long (but fairly flat) walk. 

Meet the leaders at the Hayward Shoreline park entrance at the western end of West Winton Avenue in Hayward.  Preregistration is not required, and all are welcome.
