We're popping up a summer evening field trip to Hayward shoreline where great birds like Snowy Plovers and Red Knots are being seen along with rarities like Semipalmated Sandpiper and Pacific Golden Plover. Short notice, but if you're up for some last-minute birding, join us. We'll head out from West Winton to reach Frank Dump's at high tide, then scan and scope the shorebirds. Who knows what we might find? Be prepared for wind and chilly conditions. Bring a scope if you have one. Meet the leaders OUTSIDE the entrance gate (which closes before we'll be back at the parking lot) at the end of West Winton in Hayward. Free.
