2009 Audubon Calendars
The 2009 Audubon wall calendars are now available. They
come in five themes; Songbirds, Nature, Wildflower, Birding Trails
and Hiking America. The Songbirds calendar features one species
in depth per month plus smaller daily pictures. Nature calendars
show panoramic vistas of North America’s outdoors. Wildflower
calendars show blossoms from forests, mountain meadows,
deserts and ocean-side dunes. Birding Trails calendars have a
map and detailed text of twelve trails from different parts of the
country. The Hiking calendars show maps and gives commentary
on a dozen unforgettable hiking trails.

IMBD 2006 T-Shirt
The North American boreal forest is the theme for this year’s
International Migratory Bird Day. The northern forest encompasses
about 1.5 billion acres and stretches from Alaska to Newfoundland.
The region includes one of the world’s largest intact forests
dotted with lakes, rivers, and wetlands. More extensive than the
Brazilian Amazon, the Boreal offers refuge to grizzly bear, caribou,
wolverine, gray wolf, and a variety of other resident wildlife.
The artwork on the shirt is painted by Radeaux, an avid
Colorado birder, is printed on the back of a preshrunk cotton,
natural green shirt. The words “The Boreal Forest: Bird Nursery of
the North” are above the painting. The Partners in Flight logo and
IMBD 2006 are printed on the front left sleeve. They are available
in medium, large, extra large, and extra-extra large at $17.50,
