Join us on April 4 as Ed takes us t hrough Montana's varied seasons, sharing with us the great diversity of bir ds he has managed to photograph over many years of intensive coverage. Whe ther it is a majestic Gyrfalcon in winter or an Upland Sandpiper in summer, you will find a myriad of images that are not only pleasing to the eye, bu t also convey a wealth of information.
Born and raised in Montana, Ed 's vibrant passion for the Big Sky Country is clearly evident through his s uperb photography and informative narration. Bring a friend to share in thi s fine program. An avid photographer, Ed has photographed over 2000 species of birds, with many of his photos found in books and periodicals. In North America alone, he has photographed over 750 species of birds. Starting ou t as a tour leader for the Massachusetts Audubon Society in 1980, Ed now op erates Sandpiper Journeys with his wife, Susan Scott. Together they have c onducted many birding and natural history tours throughout the world.

From Tri -Valley Area t ake I-580 West toward Oakland. Exit Castro Valley. Turn LEFT onto E Castro Valley Blvd. Turn RIGHT onto Redwood Road. Drive 1.2 miles then turn right onto Alma Ave.
From South Bay take I-880 N toward Oakland. Merge on to I-238 S toward I-580/Castro Valley/Stockton. Take the CA-238/Castro Vall ey Blvd. exit toward Hayward. I-238 S becomes I-580 E. Take the Redwood Roa d exit. Turn left onto Redwood Road. Drive 1.2 miles the turn right onto Al ma Avenue.
