Big Break offers a good assortment of birds on both land and water from sparrows and warblers to ducks, grebes, and gallinules. This is an interesting new place for us to bird and well worth the hour and a half drive. We will then move on to Black Diamond Mines, which is the for- mer site of the Hazel Atlas Mining company. Here, we'll look for Canyon Wren, quail, swifts, woodpeckers, rap- tors and more. Once again, these parks are well worth the effort.
