Alice Hoch's next Birding Field Trips class begins March 2nd and continues through April 6th, except for March 30th. Alice's birding class is different because it consists of tutoring during actual birding, rather than sitting through lectures. The class will bird a different excellent birding site each Tuesday for 5 weeks from 9:30AM to 12:30PM.
Instructor: Alice has been teaching Birding Field Trips for over 34 yrs. and is an active member of Ohlone Audubon Society. Her classes are filled with friendly, helpful people at all levels from absolute beginner to very experienced. Many Audubon members have taken and are taking her classes.
Class size is limited to 15, so register early.

Birds of the Bay Area
Phil Gordon will teach a class through Castro Valley Adult School on wintering birds of the bay area on Fridays, January 8
through March 19 from 10:15 to 12:15. Classroom session meet on campus in the Main Center Bldg., Room 16. When meeting for trips away from campus, car pooling will be encouraged.
Winter emphasis will be on the feeding behavior of birds from selection mechanisms and adaptations to digestion. Winter I.D. emphasis is to be on selected species with a wide array of habitats and types of feeding (e.g., fresh and salt water, marshes, forests, grasslands and parks). Field Trips will not only be in the East Bay, but also include the greater Bay Area to San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. Note: double hours trips may be scheduled. Directions for field trips will be announced prior to outings.
Fee: $37 for active adults over 54, $45 for non-seniors.

Valley Birding Classes with Rich Cimino
Rich Cimino is a beginning birding tutor and personal birding guide for Northern California. Rich teaches beginning bird classes through Livermore and Pleasanton Adult Education Districts.
Rich has started Yellow Billed Tours a firm focused on providing one-on-one, in-the-field, beginning-birding, tutoring, and guiding services throughout Northern California. He is available seven days a week to guide you. You can pick a birding location or a bird species and he will help you find the species. BART station pick-up's and drop off's can be arranged for East Bay Birding trips or Livermore Birding and Wine Tasting trips.
