Join Bob and Juli for a special overnight trip to Mercey Hot Springs on the western edge of Fresno County. Meet the leaders late Saturday afternoon and bird until sunset for a chance at seeing Long-eared Owls take flight. Lesser  Nighthawks are also possible, and we should find Great Horned Owls and maybe Barn Owls, too. Be out again by sunrise Sunday morning for peak migrant activity with warblers, thrushes, flycatchers, and tanagers moving  through in numbers, as well as nesting Lawrence's Goldfinches. The trip is  limited to participants staying overnight at Mercey Hot Springs resort. As a bonus to birding, staying at Mercey affords you the opportunity to experience their mineral baths. Book your lodging early at merceyhotsprings.com because spring is their busy season. The trip will go even with a small group.

Contact us by email at fieldtrips AT ohloneaudubon.org if you plan to participate.
