We hope to see the spectacle of thousands of migrating Vaux’s Swifts enter-ing a brick smokestack at the McNear Brickyard near San Rafael at sunset (7:14 p. m.) Directions: Take I-580 West across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to 101 North. Exit at the 1st off ramp from 101, which is for down-town San Rafael. Turn right at the signal onto 2nd St. (one-way to the right). In two blocks the street becomes Pt. San Pedro Rd., which is a two-way street. Follow Pt. San Pedro Rd. 3.4 mi. along the shoreline to the entrance drive of the McNear Brickyard. We will meet outside the locked gate and drive into the brickyard as a group. Please do not block the road that continues around the point.
