Dear Friends,
It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of Elsie Richey on the morning of Friday, July 29, 2006 at her home in Hayward. Since her recent stroke, she alternately spent time in the hospital and at home. Over the past two weeks her health progressively and rapidly declined. Her family is in the process of making decisions about final plans. There will probably be announcements in the San Francisco Chronicle and the Hayward Daily Review. She will be interred at Mt. View Cemetery. Please pass on this information to anyone who might want to know and who is not on this mailing list. The family requests no flowers be sent to the house.

Update August 3, 2006: Funeral services for Elsie Richey will be held Saturday, August 19, at Mt. View Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Ave., in Oakland. Meet at the Main Office, just inside the entrance gate at 10:45 a.m. A procession will lead friends to the grave site where services will be held.
